Gillian has been designing and making jewellery for more than 20 years.
Her background is in Fine Art Painting and Theatre Design.
Her work is inspired by early Pennsylvanian German Frakturs, which were small pictures given as gifts of love or approbation and feature strange birds, animals and forms from nature.
She combines precious and base metals to create pleasing contrasts and the work is often enhanced with semiprecious beads.
Earrings, brooches and necklaces are made in limited editions and “one offs”.
Gillian works in her attic studio in Bristol and has been exhibiting at Twenty Twenty for many years.
