The process of making ceramic work is like replicating mother nature. Ceramic works are made with inorganic raw materials such as metals and minerals and then extreme heat is applied in order to induce the chemical reactions. My work here is controlling the atmosphere in the air in the kiln. The chemical reactions are naturally happening in our environment and in our bodies when we ‘feel’. Clays pick up this atmosphere, the atmosphere that floats in the air.
We are often touched by the view of various landscapes and I often think that that is the moment we detect some kind of feelings from the atmospheres.
