Artist
Vic Bamforth
Glass blowing and painting skills are brought together to create vibrantly colourful and instantly recognisable one-off glass art pieces which are exhibited and collected internationally.
The basics that drive the work are the dynamics of colour, movement, and the unique properties and qualities of glass itself.
Rich in imagery and text, it is evident in Vic’s most recent paintings that his work is developing a strong visual narrative which, often humorously, reflects his own view of the world – both real and imagined. Vic acknowledges and accepts, for him, the key elements in the creative process are the phenomena of intuition, instinct, spontaneity, serendipity and osmosis. Each piece is allowed to grow organically and evolve into works that are visually arresting, thought provoking and honest.
Vic can be seen at work in his studio at The Ruskin Glass Centre, Stourbridge.
