"The Shropshire Medals are cast bronze medals which mark a return to landscape, the main source and inspiration of my medallic pieces for 40 years. Since the time of the Renaissance the medal has demonstrated through the use of its two sides the opportunity to hold a vision in the hand which this new series uses in exploring the grandeur and spirit of the Shropshire heritage."
