Nicola Moss
Nicola Moss became interested in the medal as an art form at the time of its resurgence in Britain with the founding of the British Art Medal Society. Since that time she has worked in Scotland and the USA developing her highly individual use of the medal exploring her life interests.
Mny major international collections now have examples of her work including the British Museum, National Museum of Scotland, Smithsonian Institute in Washington DC, USA and Munzkainett, Staaliche Museen zu Berlin.
Among other awards the quality and character of her work has been most significantly recognised by receiving the 1996 Sanford Saltus Award of the American Numismatic Society.
