Marian Fountain
Marian Fountain is a truly international medallist of an extremely
high level of accomplishments. She has lived and worked in Auckland,
London, Rome and Paris.
Exhibitions have been held in her native New Zealand as well as
London, Italy the USA and France where she now resides. The
approximate total of individual shows being some 24 and 36 group
exhibitions.Galleries and museums include the Simmons Gallery,
London,National Gallery of Scotland, Edinburgh, Museo Archeologico
Numismatico,Milano, Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, London
and at the Bi-annual FIDEM congress (Fédération Internationale de
la Médaille).
Commissioned work has also been a large part of her programme
where her imaginative interpretations of myth and folklore have been
utilised to magical effect.
