Joan Baker

1959-63 Studied at Wolverhampton College of Art NDD and Birmingham University ATD.

 

Joan Baker works in watercolour and chroma colour. Her landscapes, whether here or abroad, focus on trees. Sometimes a single tree but often in groups, they bind the paintings together with branches, limbs and roots.

 

Joan works from her studio near Bishops Castle in the landscape she so often paints. She travels and lectures to Art Societies and gives private workshops. She also exhibits widely and has work in collections around the world.
