Colin Gosden

Colin Gosden, is a highly respected wood turner based in Dorset who has worked with wood for most of his life. He understands how to preserve the character of the tree and bring out visual and tactile qualities in the finished work. He does not lose sight of the robust nature of the raw material thus preserving the character of the tree. Colin starts with unseasoned or green wood, and the creation of one of his bowls is a long process of “give and take” between nature and maker.
