Margot Bandola

Margot completed a Fine Art degree at Bristol Polytechnic in 1976 where Alfred Stockham was a tutor and went on the National Film School where she studied animation. Margot worked as an animator on many films such as ‘Watership Down’, ‘Plague Dogs’, ‘When the Wind Blows’ and ‘Who Framed Roger Rabbit’.                                                        

After  living and exhibiting in UK, USA, France she is now settled in Ramsgate.  Working in oil on canvas inspired by the Kent coast and architecture,  she uses  landscape and figure to explore the relationships between  people and the spaces they inhabit - intuative and spontaneous her paintings capture the light and life of East Kent -from Reculver to Dover,  from the magnificance of Ramsgate's architecture to the dry dock and antics on the beach .
 
Margot Bandola's painting  Ramsgate Harbour was selected for and sold at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2009.
