Jim Sadler
Jim is a furniture maker and sculptor based near Market Drayton. He combines high quality craftsmanship and contemporary themes with traditional and ingenious methods of construction using natural materials and processes that are ecologically friendly.
Inspired by natural forms, colours and textures he also enjoys the contrasts of man made materials and the language that develops when combining them. His use of positive and negative space results in strong designs from simple bowls to large pieces of furniture
Using green wood (unseasoned) adds life and vitality to Jim's work. He works with English oak, beech, sycamore and ash and is particularly inspired by the rays, colours and shrinkage splits that occur naturally, especially in oak.
